Launch Night 2010
Monday last in Hearn’s Hotel Clonmel saw the launch of the 2010 Suir Valley 3 Day International Cycle Race
The race is again being held on the August Bank Holiday Weekend and the Suir Valley 3 Day Team was able to retain its original sponsors and added a few more. The evening started with an opening speech by Race Director Declan Byrne followed by the official Launch by newly appointed Lady Mayor Miss Siobhan Ambrose. Siobhan spoke highly of the race and the organising team which produced the Suir Valley 3 Day and the 22nd CISM World Military Championships last year in Clonmel and for promoting cycling in the Clonmel area, further speeches were given by Cycling Legend Mr Sean Kelly and Cycling Ireland President Mr Rory Wyley both of whom spoke very highly of the organisation, colour and sponsors of the race and their commitment to the sport of Cycling.
There was also an Audio visual presentation of the previous Years Winners and Stages and 2010 Stages
Some 70 people attended and enjoyed the evenings Cheese and Wine Reception
